Bolton County Amateur Football Club

Bolton County A.F.C. (BCAFC), formally known as Bolton County Grammar School Old Boys was established in 1948, but has its origins in the 1920’s, when it fell into abeyance during the Second World War.  The club was renamed in 1982 when Bolton County Grammar School ceased to exist.

Since then the club has continued to expand year on year.

In April 2007, the club achieved the status of FA CHARTER DEVELOPMENT CLUB

To attain this award, the club has demonstrated that it adheres to the Football Associations strict guidelines, on both child protection and the development of young footballers.

The club is run on a purely voluntary basis, and is governed by an elected committee.  The club adheres to the Football Association child protection policies and all managers follow guidelines laid down in the club constitution.
